Goals and Objectives
1. Create a platform that supports the efficient use of community resources by facilitating the interaction between the public, support service providers and community leadership.
2. Provide the expertise and other assistance to the development and execution of programs/projects that address specific needs of the community.
3. Incubate initiatives that create opportunities to enhance human living circumstances.
Areas of focus:
- Housing SCOP considers safe and adequate housing as the unique metrics that indicates the quality of life in the community. Assistance with attainment and preservation of housing is at the core of the organization’s activities.
- Water SCOP recognizes that water is an essential but increasingly scarce resource. The organization will use its resources in identifying projects that will increase the availability, adequacy and safety of water supplies to communities that will support their social and economic needs in a sustainable manner.
- Food Proper nutrition must be included in the equation for quality of life. SCOP will assist in identifying circumstances that threaten this right of global citizens to an adequate meal and will participate in finding solutions.
- Education At the core of SCOP’s strategy is the concept that enlightenment through relevant education is the key to the advancement of the human race. Every activity that the organization undertakes will include teaching opportunities aimed at expanding the capacity of all participants.
- Economics SCOP believes that the empowerment of individuals by providing them with respectable means of obtaining an income will result in increased community pride and economic development.
